As I dutifully observed along with the guiding voice, I noticed at one point my legs needed to shift longer. I allowed them to lengthen out and continued following the guidance of the speaker. This happened two more times. My legs appeared to be growing longer. Eventually even my rib cage relaxed back into the floor. None of this happened through effort.
What I'd given my body was time. It occurred to me that we don't see how much of a hurry we're in...until we aren't.
I'm thinking it would be nice to have an hour long class...called 20-20-20. Twenty minutes of meditation, 20 minutes of yoga asana, 20 minutes of savasana. Maybe we need more time in class for the bits that unfold more slowly.
