I recently came across Smiling Mind. It's a web and App based program designed to introduce young people to meditation. When you sign up you choose the age category you are in (includes one for adults as well) and the meditations and instructions are then age appropriate. I've been playing with the App a bit and I like it. There is a 5 minute practice each week that has a particular theme and then the daily guided meditations build on that skill or theme. You can choose to sit for 5, 10, or 15 minutes (maybe that gets long over time...I'm not sure yet). You can set reminders for yourself. And on the App, at least, there's a little indicator that says how many people are currently meditating. I don't know why, but I kind of like that. If you've been curious about adding meditation to your life or would like to jump start a lagging practice, this is pretty nice. If anyone get's their children or teenagers to give it a try, I'd be curious to hear how they like it.
