And lots of people are having new conversations around practice. (J.Brown, Matthew Remski among others).
When you start doing something different it can be a rough road. Change is hard. These are challenging times. But I tried to stay in my lane and kept working at it. One (of many) things I learned from my teacher Erich Schiffmann is to keep learning from my practice. When you try to talk about these new things you are exploring (which you have to do as a teacher) your language won't always quite describe it at first. But if you keep practicing and refining and sharing...things begin to clarify.
The entirety of the practice is important to me. So this blog will be a repository of the more nerdy side of things. The "Inspire" blog will delve into the poetry of the practice. So with that said...please give this interview with Jules Mitchell a listen. She is being interviewed by Brooke Thomas of Liberated Body. If you aren't inclined to listen...you can get the highlights from the show notes. And there are also links to extra information on topics mentioned in the interview.
